Tower Theatre

 Last night at Tower Theatre, Oklahoma City was transformed into a funky crypt as Here Come The Mummies unleashed their groove-heavy chaos on 9/6/25. The room smelled faintly of incense, beer, and possibly ancient tomb dust, and that was before the band even hit the stage.

Platinum Moon kicked things off with slick, high-energy rock that felt like it was custom-built to loosen up everyone’s spine. Then Lachy Doley arrived, grinning like a mad scientist behind his keyboard, bending notes and souls with his trademark “Hammond wizardry.” By the time the Mummies stumbled onstage, the crowd was primed for maximum funk.

The band, fully wrapped and fully committed, played like they’d just crawled out of a sarcophagus with a mission to make Oklahoma dance itself into the afterlife. The horns wailed, the bass thumped, and at one point a mummy unspeakably ruined his best pair of pants. By the end, the audience was sweaty, smiling, and possibly cursed—but nobody seemed to mind.
